Right Where It Belongs

"The Base as a sculpture" is something which i found more tangible than creating a piece from the given card.  It was my intention to create a piece which could supply an endless source of sculptures , like a factory line. The idea that individuals could create their own pieces from a given set of shapes that could easily be connected together said much more about the base which contained the pieces, while still maintaining an intrinsic link with whatever piece the individual wished to create. Several students from the class completed models from the individual cut pieces, to create their own sculptures. Here are some examples of how people used the pieces given to them. They could use as many or as few pieces as they like in whatever fashion they so choose.
